Faith is rumored to be hard at work on a new studio album. No release date has been announced yet.
A new photo of Faith has appeared on the internet. You can find it here: click! I also uploaded a slightly larger version to the gallery. The photo was taken for Borman Entertainment, Faith’s management company. This means that the photo is probably not meant as promotion for the new perfume, seeing as the perfume is for Coty. I secretly hope that the photo is for a new album or single… Rumors have resurfaced lately that there will be a new album out it the fall. Let’s hope for the best!
Tim, on the other hand, will have new music out soon, next week in fact! It’s been a 2 1/2 year wait, but now we will finally get something new. The new single is called “It’s a business doing pleasure with you”. It is described as a fun and up-tempo song. The release date is set for next Tuesday morning. Co-writers on the song include Brett James and Chad Kroeger. The new album is rumored to be called “Southern voice” and will be released in time for Christmas. Can hardly wait!
Faith did a press conference in New York earlier this week. She was there to promote her new perfume that will be released in October.
The collection includes eau de toilette in three sizes: 0.5 oz. for $17, 1 oz. for $24 and 1.7 oz. for $31. The bottle, which Hill created with Lutz Herrmann, is vintage-inspired — a heavy, glass rectangle with a black grosgrain ribbon tied around the bottle’s neck. The juice inside is tinted champagne with peach undertones.
The scent will be available in about 20,000 mass market doors in the U.S., including Wal-Mart, national drug chains, Ulta and J.C. Penney.
Print advertising, shot by Michael Thompson, features Hill in a quiet moment of contemplation. It will begin running in October fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazines. Mormoris and his team also plan a comprehensive online outreach effort. “It’s no longer a case of, ‘Run a print ad, and everyone will go out and buy what you’re selling,’” he said. “Blogs and Internet sites are much more important than they ever have been.”
Hill hopes this scent will be the first in a string of fragrances bearing her name. “This one felt like the best way to begin, but I definitely want to do more scents,” she said, adding that she got several ideas for future projects while in the lab with this one and is currently developing one of them. “First, though, I’m anxious and excited to see what people think of this one.”
Hill had some advance experience in creating a fragrance — her husband, Tim McGraw, launched his eponymous first fragrance late last August, and he gave his wife credit for helping to make it a success. (McGraw’s second fragrance, Southern Blend, is scheduled to be launched at the end of August.) Hill turns the praise right back at him: “It was convenient we live in the same house,” she cracked of her involvement, giving her husband credit for the success of his scent. “Working on his scent and mine — it’s been a great family experience,” she said. “I like doing everything with my husband.” And, she said, she’s keeping busy this summer with her family. “My daughters are teaching me to Hula-hoop. Audrey is seven, and she can do it the longest — I am not kidding, for 15 minutes! It’s cheap entertainment,” she said with a laugh.
I added Faith’s performance from the George Strait tribute to the videovault. The audio is unfortunately out of sync there, so I also posted a YouTube version below.
We’ve know for a while that Faith will get her own perfume after the summer. But now we have a tentative release date too!! Tim’s new cologne will come out in September. Read the excerpt below for more info.
McGraw’s wife, Faith Hill, will launch her first fragrance a month after Southern Blend comes out, and McGraw almost sounds more excited about hers than his own. “I think hers is fantastic,” he said. “Anything from her has amazing quality. I think hers will be a bestseller.”
McGraw said he’d love to do a fragrance with his wife — whose scent license is also held by Coty Beauty — at some point in the future. “It’s all dependent upon how these do — but hopefully, that is something we will do down the line,” said McGraw. “We have totally different careers and management teams, but it’s always great when we can do something like that together.”
McGraw said daughters Gracie, Audrey and Maggie keep him and Hill humble. “One of our songs will be playing and they’ll be like, ‘We want to listen to Coldplay,’” he said with a laugh. “We just say, ‘Hey, that song is paying for your school!’”
As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan continue, more and more of our service men and women are experiencing not only physical but emotional wounds. The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine and the Tug McGraw Foundation know that the pace at which scientific advancements are made can be accelerated through increased civilian/military partnerships.
With the support of co-chairs Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Country United is a two-day event comprised of the Partnership for Military Medicine Symposium and the Country United Gala taking place on November 6 & 7, 2009 in Washington, DC. The symposium will highlight discoveries in military medicine and foster collaborations among military and civilian partners to further advance research and clinical care. The Country United Gala will recognize the efforts of medical researchers, clinicians, and educators, as well as friends of military medicine.
Faith recently appeared at a taping honoring George Strat as the ACM’s Artist of the Decade. The special will air on CBS on Wednesday, May 27. Be sure to check local listings for correct show times.

I was on vacation for two weeks, so I haven’t updated in a while. The site got hacked while I was gone, so that also took a while to fix. I’ll be back to updating regularly from now on, though.
I added photos of Faith’s performance at the Nashville4Africa benefit as well as scans/photos from the latest issue of Redbook magazine. Thanks Cayla! You can find the Redbook interview here: click!
Check out the video below of a Faith interview at the ACM award rehearsals:
I also uploaded more pictures of the George Strait tribute as I promised earlier this week. I also found some old pictures that I had never gotten around to adding to the gallery, I uploaded those too. Happy Easter weekend everyone!
Faith the May covergirl of Redbook magazine, and yes, she did dress up as a few icons for the shoot. They are alternate covers that will run behind the regular type of cover. The issue should hit news stands/stores by the last week of April. Keep an eye out for it. (Source: Lisa from Faith’s official board)
In a recent website survey, readers of women’s magazine Redbook voted frequent cover girl Faith Hill’s look as the one they’d most want to steal. But it’s Faith who’s doing the stealing for three upcoming covers of the magazine.
Hill tells Chicago radio station US99 that she’ll appear on three upcoming Redbook covers simultaneously, for which she was transformed into an iconic trio of beauties ranking among the most photographed of all time. There’s famously thin 1960s model-actress Twiggy, silver-screen legend (and future Princess of Monaco) Grace Kelly and French-born sex symbol Brigitte Bardot.
“Twiggy was fun,” says Hill, “but Grace Kelly was tremendous because we chose a photograph where the hair and the wardrobe was all so iconic itself … that it was fun to be her. Well, not to be her, but to try to be her. Because nobody can touch that amazing woman. She had such grace and beauty.”
Which of the covers was husband Tim McGraw’s favorite? Hill says he liked them all, but he was partial to her turn as Brigitte Bardot.
Faith and Tim attended the Artist of the Decade show honoring George Strait last night. Faith sang You ain’t woman enough and Tim sang Marina del Ray. I added some photos to the gallery, more will follow later today or tomorrow. Don’t you love Faith’s silver dress? I do!
